Where to eat St. Ives
The little boat you watched as you walked the beach before breakfast probably came back with the Mackerel, Bass, or Snapper on offer for your supper. The new creations here are not just paintings in oil and pastel - we have true artists who work wonders every day in food: wonderful fresh crab, lobster and seafood dishes and fresh vegetables grown in the rich brown Cornish soil.
World class restaurants and cafes have sprung up around the town, clustered around the harbour by the warm waters of the bay, perched above the beach with stunning views - you may even see dolphins from your table - or tucked intimately in the old town's narrow streets. There are excellent eateries for all tastes, many also offering the delights produced by Cornwall's fine breweries and vineyards.

From the celebrated Cornish Pasty to the finest of fine dining, St Ives has become a renowned destination for seekers of top quality and innovative cuisine.
It's hard to be sure whether it's the sea air after a day's walking or driving the coast road which improves your meal; it's impossible to prove that the hot sun on the cotton sunshade makes your cocktail taste more exciting and is it a fact that the murmur of the ocean and the gentle ripple of reflected water makes your steak or haddock fillet more satisfying? It's all hard to prove, but great fun trying! Great food, local ingredients, wonderful climate, clever cooks.
Tributes to restaurants in The Good Food Guide, weekly journals and the national press are due to the tremendous effort of the chefs and restaurateurs who are developing remarkable talents whilst contributing superb cuisine.
There is a restaurant portfolio located within the cottage.
